Lakehouse living in Virginia is relaxed and fun! The furnishings hold up to water and sun. We selected a bottle green leather sleeper sofa for the living room and used all Sunbrella fabrics on the chair cushions and pillows. We took down the tired old mantle and installed a reclaimed barn wood mantle to echo the beam details on the ceiling. Much needed storage was added to the room with a custom designed storage unit that boosts open shelving at the top and closed cabinet storage on the bottom. We added custom metal wire detail on the cabinet doors and painted it white to keep the room open and airy. The crowning glory is the metal heron's nest chandelier over the farmhouse dining room table.
